Regular Season Round 6: Breidablik - Keflavik 78-85

Bottom-ranked Breidablik is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fourth ranked Keflavik (4-2) 85-78 on Wednesday evening. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 22-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Brittanny Dinkins (170-94, college: S.Mississippi) notched a double-double by scoring 51 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and forward Embla Kristinardottir (170-95) supported her with 8 points. Keflavik's coach Jon Gudmundsson used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds by American guard Kelly Faris (180-91, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Breidablik. International center Sollilja Bjarnadottir (176-95) added 14 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Five Breidablik players scored in double figures. Keflavik have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Stjarnan. Loser Breidablik still closes the standings with six games lost. Keflavik will meet at home league's leader KR in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Breidablik will play against Stjarnan (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
