Regular Season Round 6: Beijing Dragons - Jilin NE T. 136-121

Fly Dragons can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Jilin Tigers (2-4) 136-121 on Thursday. Fly Dragons shot the lights out from three sinking 25 long-distance shots on high 51.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard Pierre Jackson (180-91, college: Baylor) had a double-double by scoring 58 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 10 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Fly Dragons' coach Wei Ding used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) with a triple-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists and Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Fly Dragons (1-5) left bottom position moving up to seventeenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. It was Jilin Tigers' third loss in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Fly Dragons will meet league's second-placed Golden Bulls in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Jilin Tigers will play against Leopards (#10) and hope to secure a win.
