Regular Season Round 6: Navarra - Baskonia 81-67

Everything could happen in Pamplona at the game between two tied teams. Both first ranked Navarra and 5th ranked Baskonia B had identical 3-2 record. This time Navarra used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Baskonia 81-67 on Friday night. It was a key game for the second position in Silver. Navarra outrebounded Baskonia B 42-30 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for center Eduardo Hernandez-Sonseca (212-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Carles Marzo (190-92, agency: Duran International) contributed with 9 points and 10 assists for the winners. Argentinian point guard Lautaro Lopez (188-99) replied with 15 points and Estonian swingman Sander Raieste (200-99) added 14 points in the effort for Baskonia B. Four Baskonia B players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Navarra went down to second position (Silver) due to points difference. Loser Baskonia B dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Navarra will face Marin (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Baskonia B will play against Azpeitia ISB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
