Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Castello (2-4) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Melilla Baloncesto (4-2) 82-72 on Friday. Melilla Baloncesto made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Point guard Josep Franch (193-91) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian center Darko Balaban (211-89, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Dominican power forward Juan-Jose Garcia (201-89, agency: Duran International) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Lithuanian forward Tautvydas Sabonis (203-92) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
