Regular Season Round 6: Shanghai S. - Beijing Ducks 118-113

Very expected game in Shanghai where 12th ranked Beijing Ducks (2-4) were defeated by fourth ranked Sharks (5-1) 118-113 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Sharks made 30-of-39 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Beijing Ducks were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who scored 50 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!). Argentinian-Spanish power forward Luis Scola (206-80) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) who recorded a triple-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and Croatian-American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU) added 28 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Sharks have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Guangzhou LL. Beijing Ducks lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Sharks will face Brave Dragons (#12) in Taiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Beijing Ducks will play at home against Monkey Kings and hope to win that game.
