There was a minor upset in Armstrong where Sportivo America (2-2) was defeated by Deportivo Norte (3-3) 93-83 on Friday. Deportivo Norte looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Sportivo America's players. Sportivo America was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Rodrigo Gallegos who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. Marco Luchi (198-92) helped adding 8 points and 10 rebounds. Four Deportivo Norte players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Alejo Crotti (182-92) with 27 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Sean Morgan (198-94, college: Queens, NC) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Deportivo Norte will face Echague (#8) in Parana in the next round. Sportivo America will play on the road against Ameghino (#7) in Villa Maria and hope to win that game.
