Regular Season Round 8: Gravelines - Cholet 72-99

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Gravelines. Top-ranked Cholet faced 3rd ranked Gravelines. Guests from Cholet (9-0) smashed host Gravelines (6-2) 99-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gravelines. Cholet dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Gravelines' 30. They outrebounded Gravelines 49-20 including a 37-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cholet looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Karlton Dimanche (194-0) who scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Hugo Robineau (190-0) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Cholet players scored in double figures. Matthias Flosse (209-98) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Basile David (196-99) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Gravelines' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cholet have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Gravelines at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Bourg. Cholet are looking forward to face Monaco (#5) at home in the next round. Gravelines will play against Boulazac and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
