There was no surprise in Montevideo where 13th ranked Atletico Welcome (1-5) was crushed by fifth ranked Goes (4-3) 93-67 on Friday. Goes dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Atletico Welcome's 28. Goes had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Atletico Welcome was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Jarred Shaw (208-90, college: Utah St.) fired 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Naturalized Italian center Nicolas Borsellino (202-86, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five Goes players scored in double figures. Goes' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest.
