Regular Season Round 6: Brasilia - Franca 73-101

Date: November 2, 2018
Third ranked Vivo/Franca blasted bottom-ranked Brasilia (0-6) in Brasilia 101-73. Brasilia is still unable to win any game. Vivo/Franca made 22-of-25 charity shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Brasilia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international Lucas Cipolini (206-86, college: BYU-Hawaii) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. Even 30 points and 8 assists by the former international point guard Welington Dos-Santos (185-81) did not help to save the game for Brasilia. American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi, agency: Pro Sports) added 17 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vivo/Franca have a solid four-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Flamengo lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Newly promoted Brasilia still closes the standings with six games lost. Vivo/Franca's next round opponent will be Sao Jose (#12) at home which should be another easy win for them.
