Regular Season Round 4: Vichy Clermont - Poitiers 76-73

A very interesting game took place in Vichy. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 14th ranked Poitiers (1-3) to top-ranked JA Vichy (4-0) 76-73 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. American point guard Quinton Hooker (183-95, college: N.Dakota) fired 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. David Denave (193-85) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. JA Vichy's coach Guillaume Vizade used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Jay Threatt (180-89, college: Delaware St.) produced 15 points and 7 assists and Kevin Harley (196-94) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Poitiers players scored in double figures. JA Vichy have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Roanne and Orleans. Poitiers at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with three games lost. JA Vichy's next round opponent will be Sluc Nancy (#4) on the road. Poitiers will play against Aix-Maurienne (#9) in Aix-les-Bains and hope to win that game.
