There was a minor upset in Penglai where 6th ranked Sports Lottery (4-2) was defeated by eighth ranked Magic Deer (4-2) 90-77. Magic Deer shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. American center Natasha Howard (190-91, college: Florida St., agency: LBM Management) notched a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and international Lili Wang (170-92) supported her with 24 points and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists by international guard Siyu Wang (175-95) did not help to save the game for Sports Lottery. Forward Ying-Zhu Wang (182-96) added 13 points. Magic Deer moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Sports Lottery. Magic Deer's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Vermilion Birds in Dongguan and it may be quite challenging game. Sports Lottery will play on the road against Henan Phoenix in Jiyuan and hope to win that game.
