NBL top team - Perth Wildcats (5-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked New Zealand Breakers (2-3) 92-78. Perth Wildcats looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American guard Bryce Cotton (185-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored that evening 23 points and 9 rebounds and international power forward Nick Kay (206-92, college: Metro St.) supported him with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 22 points and 6 assists by American-Fijian forward Tai Wesley (201-86, college: Utah St.) did not help to save the game for New Zealand Breakers. American forward Shawn Long (208-93, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Pensack Sports) added 10 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Perth Wildcats maintains first position with 5-1 record. Loser New Zealand Breakers keep the fifth place with three games lost. Perth Wildcats will meet Illawarra Hawks (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. New Zealand Breakers will play against Bullets in Brisbane and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
