Regular Season Round 9: Orchies - Besancon 92-64

Everything could happen in Orchies at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Orchesien BC and 4th placed Besancon had identical 5-3 record. This time Orchesien BC used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Besancon 92-64 on Saturday night. They outrebounded Besancon 37-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Lithuanian Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Jeremy Ricard-Dorigo (200-94) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Olushina Ikuesan (190-91) answered with 20 points and Lithuanian forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Besancon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Orchesien BC (6-3) moved-up to fourth place in Group A. Newly promoted Besancon dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Orchesien BC will face league's second-placed Saint-Quentin on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Besancon will play against GET Vosges and hope to win that game.
