Regular Season Round 11: Akita NH - Nagoya DD 83-97

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Diamond Dolphins (9-2) won against on the road 4th placed Akita Happinets (3-8) 97-83 on Saturday. Diamond Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Akita Happinets were plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import Markeith Cummings (198-88, college: Kennesaw St.) helped adding 28 points. Bahamas power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St.) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and point guard Shota Onodera (183-94) scored 13 points and 6 assists. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Diamond Dolphins. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Chiba Jets and Tochigi Brex. Akita Happinets lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Diamond Dolphins will have a break next round. Akita Happinets will play again at home against the league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
