Regular Season Round 6: Vic - Azuqueca 76-72

There was an upset when higher ranked Azuqueca (3-3) lost on the road to twelfth ranked Vic (1-5) 76-72 on Saturday. It was a good game for power forward Roger Fornas (202-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Julian Garrote (185-82) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American guard Ervin Mitchell (193-94, college: Grambling St.) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Ignacio Ballespin (194-98) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Azuqueca. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Vic maintains twelfth position in Silver with 1-5 record. Azuqueca at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Vic will face league's second-placed Villarrobledo on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
