Regular Season Round 7: Novaschool - Andujar 56-71

There was no surprise in Malaga where bottom-ranked Novaschool (0-5) was defeated by seventh ranked Andujar (2-3) 71-56 on Saturday. Andujar outrebounded Novaschool 51-34 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward David Suka-Umu (197-77) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Jose Martinez (201-88) helped adding 18 points and 4 steals. At the losing side Senegalese center Gora Gueye (212-89) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and center Anastasio Vazquez (204-92) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Andujar maintains seventh place in Group D-A with 2-3 record. Novaschool lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Andujar will face higher ranked Coin (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Novaschool will play against Martos (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
