Regular Season Round 12: Nishinomiya S. - Shinshu BW 78-75

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Shinshu BW (11-2) in Hyogo on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by sixth ranked Nishinomiya S. (3-10) 78-75. Nishinomiya S. made 27-of-31 free shots (87.1 percent) during the game, while Shinshu BW only scored five points from the stripe. 25 personal fouls committed by Shinshu BW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and swingman Naoki Tani (193-88) who added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and guard Kaito Ishikawa (188-90) scored 10 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shinshu BW's coach Michael Katsuhisa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nishinomiya S. maintains sixth position with 3-10 record. Shinshu BW at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
