Undefeated Villarrobledo (5-1) recorded its first loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked HLA Alicante (4-2) 76-67. Point guard Enric Garrido (178-82) scored 15 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Devin Schmidt (193-94, college: Delta St., agency: Duran International) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. HLA Alicante's coach Pedro Rivero allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Arturo Fernandez (182-90) with 17 points and 4 assists and center Artur Alaminos (205-91) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. HLA Alicante moved-up to fourth place in Silver. Newly promoted Villarrobledo dropped to the second position with one game lost. HLA Alicante will play against L'Hospitalet (#7) at home in the next round. Villarrobledo will play against Vic (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
