Regular Season Round 11: SeaHorses - Toyama Grouses 83-78

There was a change at the B League leadership position after last games. Round 11 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Toyama Grouses (7-4). They were defeated by fourth ranked Aishin Sea Horses (6-5) 83-78 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toyama Grouses. Aishin Sea Horses looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 6 points, 21 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) helped adding 31 points. Aishin Sea Horses' coach Kimikazu Suzuki used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Joshua Smith (208-92, college: Georgetown) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kawasaki BT. Toyama Grouses at the other side still keep top position with four games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Ryukyu GK who have the same record. Toyama Grouses will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Aishin Sea Horses will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Toyama Grouses at home.
