Regular Season Round 8: Lenadores - Santos 99-85

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Lenadores (6-3) beat at home 5th ranked Santos (2-5) 99-85 on Saturday. Lenadores looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Jorge Camacho (203-89, college: E.Kentucky) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Venezuelan forward Juan Herrera (197-81) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Lenadores' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Fernando Rosales replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Lyonell Gaines (198-93, college: Morehead St.) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Santos. Four Lenadores and five Santos players scored in double figures. Lenadores have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Lenadores maintains third position with 6-3 record having just two point less than leader Mineros. Santos lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with five games lost. Lenadores will face again Santos (#6) in San Luis Potosi in the next round.
