Regular Season Round 7: Igualada - Tarragona 56-55

A very interesting game took place in Igualada. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Tarragona (5-2) to leader Igualada (7-0) 56-55 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tarragona. Worth to mention a great performance of center Eduard Tejero (196-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds. Power forward Roger Perez (203-96) contributed with 8 points for the winners. Center Ferran Torres (201-88) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Daniel Tugores (185-95) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tarragona. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Igualada have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group C-A with 7-0 record. Newly promoted Tarragona dropped to the third position with two games lost. Igualada's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Quart on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tarragona will play against Valls Nutrion and hope to win that game.
