Regular Season Round 6: Albacete - L'Hospitalet 85-92

An interesting game was also tough home defeat of 7th ranked Albacete in a game versus L'Hospitalet (#8) 92-85. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-17. But Albacete won second period 27-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when L'Hospitalet won last quarter 30-24. Point guard Joan Creus (185-92) notched 21 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and forward Javier Rodriguez (198-92) supported him with 17 points. Even 21 points by American point guard Jordan Davis (178-91, college: Tampa) did not help to save the game for Albacete. His fellow American import power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) added 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five L'Hospitalet and four Albacete players scored in double figures. Albacete's coach Alfredo Galvez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. L'Hospitalet (3-3) moved-up to seventh place in Silver. Loser Albacete dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. L'Hospitalet will meet higher ranked HLA Alicante (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Albacete will play against Moron (#8) in Morón de la Frontera and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
