Regular Season Round 4: GOCOR-Sozh - Prinemanye 79-59

GOCOR-Sozh has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Prinemanye (1-4) 79-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by GOCOR-Sozh. Prinemanye managed to win third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. GOCOR-Sozh forced 26 Prinemanye turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Prinemanye's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Timofey Verevkin (185-93) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Aleksey Kovalev (207-0) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Sergey Lemeshevskiy (192-1) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Michail Tolkachev (197-0) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Prinemanye's coach Vitalii Maklakov rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. GOCOR-Sozh left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Prinemanye. GOCOR-Sozh is looking forward to face bottom-ranked RCOP Tsmoki (#10) in Minsk in the next round. Prinemanye will play on the road against Brest and is hoping to win this game.
