Regular Season Round 4: Rocks - Honka 90-82

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Rocks as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Rocks defeated 7th ranked Honka in Helsinki 90-82. It looked good early as Honka took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rocks had a 26-16 second period charge getting the lead and Honka was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 82-90. Rocks had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Rocks especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Honka's players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Cristian Ahokas (201-1) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds and forward Juhani Jokio (195-0) who added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Alvar Peltoniemi (196-1) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Oscar Lindholm (194-0) scored 16 points. Four Honka players scored in double figures. Rocks (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Honka at the other side dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. They share the position with HNMKY. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
