Regular Season Round 4: MuKi - Lahti 98-42

Bottom-ranked Lahti is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fourth ranked MuKi (3-1) 98-42 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. MuKi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lahti to just 4 points in third quarter and to 13 points in second half. MuKi dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Lahti's 22. MuKi forced 36 Lahti turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Lahti's players. It was a very good performance for Karri Kortemaa (193-0) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Power forward Emil Uotila (198-0) contributed with 16 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five MuKi players scored in double figures. MuKi's coach Jussi Tahvanainen felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Center Luukas Vaara (204-1) replied with 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Eemi Luukkonen (196-2) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Lahti. MuKi maintains fourth position with 3-1 record. Loser Lahti still closes the standings with five games lost. MuKi will face higher ranked Pyrinto (#3) in Tampere in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Lahti will play at home against Go Time (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
