Regular Season Round 7: Inter Bratislava - Prievidza 70-67

The most exciting game of round 7 in the SBL took place in Bratislava. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Prievidza (4-2) to first ranked Inter Bratislava (5-1) 70-67 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. American forward Lee Skinner (198-92, college: Wofford) fired 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Michal Batka (204-87) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Oliver Vidin used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Tim Derksen (192-93, college: USF) produced 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Delvon Johnson (206-89, college: Arkansas) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Inter Bratislava maintains first place with 5-1 record. Prievidza at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Zilina. Inter Bratislava are looking forward to face Nova Ves (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Prievidza will play against Iskra Svit (#6) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
