Undefeated ASEFA Estudiantes (4-1) recorded its first loss in Madrid. Hosts were defeated by fourteenth ranked UCAM Jairis (1-4) 75-66. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of ASEFA Estudiantes. ASEFA Estudiantes was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Julia Melina (179-90) stepped up and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Ana Faussurier (190-94, college: Arkansas) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four UCAM Jairis players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Nina Bogicevic (181-89) responded with 17 points and forward Paula Justel (186-92, agency: Best of You Sports) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UCAM Jairis left bottom position moving up to eleventh place in Group B, which they share with Granada and De La Torre. ASEFA Estudiantes at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Adelantados. UCAM Jairis will play against league's second-placed Adelantados in San Cristobal in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ASEFA Estudiantes will play on the road against the league's leader Campus Promete and will have a slim chance for a victory.
