Regular Season Round 6: Albino - Carugate 51-62

Bottom-ranked Albino (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 62-51 loss to ninth ranked Carugate (3-3) in Albino on Saturday evening. They also forced 19 Albino turnovers. The best player for the winners was power forward Cecilia Albano (183-96) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Giulia Maffenini (175-92, agency: Two Points) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Federica Iannucci (172-93) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and British forward Chantelle Pressley (185-90, college: E.Illinois) added 10 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Carugate moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Albino still closes the standings with six games lost. Carugate will face Marghera (#12) in Venezia in the next round where they are favorite. Albino will play on the road against Scrivia and hopes to get finally their first victory.
