Regular Season Round 5: Toyota A. - Toyota B SR 74-49

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Toyota B SR (3-3) was smashed by second ranked Toyota A. (5-1) in Nagoya 74-49. Toyota A. held Toyota B SR to an opponent 22.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Toyota A. had a 29-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Miyoshi Minobo (167-93) who scored 16 points. The former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (182-93) chipped in 12 points and 4 blocks. Power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and forward Sato Nanami (175-96) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyota A. maintains second place with 5-1 record behind leader JX-Eneos S. Toyota B SR at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Toyota A.'s next round opponent will be again Toyota B SR (#8) in Aichi which should be theoretically another easy game.
