Araberri has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Palma (2-4) on the road game in S'Arenal 79-71 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Junior Robinson (165-96, college: Mt.St.Mary's) who scored 27 points and 5 assists. The other American import swingman Niksha Federico (201-95, college: Hawaii Pacific, agency: Two Points) chipped in 6 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was French center Jonathan Jeanne (218-97, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 6 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Marcus Gilbert (198-93, college: Fairfield) added 15 points respectively. Palma's coach Felix Alonso tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Araberri (1-5) left bottom position moving up to sixteenth place, which they share with Prat and Coruna. It was Palma's third loss in a row. They keep the twelfth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Araberri will meet at home higher ranked Barca II (#14) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Palma will play against CB Prat and hope to secure a win.
