Regular Season Round 6: Crema - Varese 52-40

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Varese (0-6) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Team Crema (5-1) 52-40 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was power forward Alice Nori (182-93) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Francesca Melchiori (174-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 7 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Arianna Beretta (178-96, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who recorded 12 points and Chiara Premazzi (-98) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Team Crema moved-up to third place in A2. Newly promoted Varese still closes the standings with six games lost. Team Crema will face San Martino (#8) in San Martino di L in the next round where they are favorite.
