KFUM Fryshuset (5-1) recorded its first loss in Stockholm on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Helsingborg (3-3) 98-91. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of KFUM Fryshuset. KFUM Fryshuset trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 31-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 91-98 at the end of the game. Helsingborg made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game. Strangely KFUM Fryshuset outrebounded Helsingborg 47-31 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. 28 personal fouls committed by KFUM Fryshuset helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Danish forward Mads Rasmussen (198-88) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Erik Joelsson (196-97) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Mustafa Dibba (186-95) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and center Leonard Halling-Ibo (200-92) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Helsingborg maintains sixth position with 3-3 record. KFUM Fryshuset at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still keeps top place with one game lost. Helsingborg are looking forward to face higher ranked Djurgarden (#3) in Stockholm in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KFUM Fryshuset will play at home against AIK Basket and is hoping to win this game.
