Regular Season Round 7: Castelldefels - SESE 76-57

There was a minor upset when higher ranked SESE (3-4) was crushed on the road by eleventh ranked Castelldefels (3-4) 76-57 on Sunday. Castelldefels dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to SESE's 28. They outrebounded SESE 43-26 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Rafael Puerta (196-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points. Arnau Carreras (-98) helped adding 14 points. Four Castelldefels players scored in double figures. At the losing side Raul Diaz (-93) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and guard Albert Barquets (189-98) scored 14 points. SESE's coach Carles Espona rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Castelldefels moved-up to seventh place in Group C-B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated SESE. Castelldefels will face Andorra II (#8) on the road in the next round.
