Regular Season Round 6: Girona Basquet - Almansa 46-66

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Almansa (4-2) rolled over on the road 3rd ranked Girona Basquet (4-2) 66-46 on Sunday. Almansa dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Girona Basquet's 24. It was a good game for American-Puerto Rican guard Bobby Harris (185-91, college: Amer.Internat.) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 5 assists. American center Thomas Granado (208-88, college: Concordia Irvine, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Andre Berry (203, college: Rhode Island) replied with 8 points and 6 rebounds and Robert Cosialls added 7 points in the effort for Girona Basquet. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Almansa moved-up to third place in Silver. Almansa will face Menorca (#11) in Mahon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Girona Basquet will play on the road against La Roda (#10) and hope to win that game.
