Important game to mention about took place in Brescia. Twelfth ranked Germani BR (2-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 13th ranked VL Pesaro (1-4) 84-81 on Sunday evening. Germani BR looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) stepped up and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import David Moss (196-83, college: Indiana St.) chipped in 9 points and 5 assists. Germani BR's coach Andrea Diana allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard James Blackmon (193-95, college: Indiana) responded with 35 points (!!!) and Lithuanian center Egidijus Mockevicius (208-92, college: Evansville) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Germani BR moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. VL Pesaro lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with four games lost. Germani BR will face Dolomiti En. TR (#15) in Trento in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. VL Pesaro will play at home against Alma TR and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
