Regular Season Round 7: Calvia - Olivar 62-78

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Calvia (0-7) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Olivar (4-3) 78-62 on Sunday. Olivar forced 20 Calvia turnovers. It was a great evening for center Jaime Pradilla (206-1) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds. Venezuelan power forward Jose Ascanio (204-96) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Olivar's coach David Valero used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side power forward Jose-Maria Morales (204-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and forward Ivan Matemalas (194-80) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Olivar moved-up to sixth place in Group C-A, which they share with Valls Nutrion. Calvia lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with seven games lost. Olivar will face Salt (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Calvia will play against Esparreguera and hopes to get finally their first victory.
