Regular Season Round 6: Omnia Basket - Alba 71-77

Everything went according to plan in Pavia where fifth ranked Alba (4-2) beat 16th ranked Omnia Basket (1-5) 77-71 on Sunday. Omnia Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Giacomo DellAgnello (200-94) scored 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Diego Terenzi (190-95) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Andrea Iannilli (207-84) with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) scored 20 points. Four Omnia Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alba moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Ozzano. Loser Omnia Basket dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. Alba will face Gessi Valsesia (#10) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Omnia Basket will play against San Miniato (#6) and hope to win that game.
