Regular Season Round 6: Battipaglia - Scauri 90-98

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Scauri (4-1) beat on the road bottom-ranked Battipaglia (0-6) 98-90 on Sunday. Battipaglia was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Andrea Longobardi (199-94) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Mattia Ciman (193-93, agency: Players Group) chipped in 27 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Giovanni Gambarota (190-89) with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and point guard Andrea Murolo (179-96) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Battipaglia players scored in double figures. Scauri moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Tigers C. Loser Battipaglia still closes the standings with six games lost. Scauri will face Palestrina (#8) in Roma in the next round where they are favorite. Battipaglia will play on the road against Pozzuoli (#14) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
