Rather expected game when 6th ranked Caceres (2-3) was crushed at home by third ranked DKV San Fernando (3-1) 96-59 on Sunday. DKV San Fernando had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. It was a great evening for center Diego Gallardo (198-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Francisco Jimenez helped adding 14 points. At the losing side Serbian power forward Almir Hadzisehovic (205-92, college: Alaska-Fairb., agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with 8 points and 9 rebounds and Senegalese forward Vieux Kasse (198-0) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. DKV San Fernando maintains third place in Group D-B with 3-1 record having just three points less than leader Lliria. Newly promoted Caceres keeps the sixth position with three games lost. DKV San Fernando will have a break next round. Caceres will play on the road against the league's second-placed Benahavis (#2) and hope to win that game.
