Another exciting game was played in Casalpusterlengo between seventh ranked GSA Udine and 8th ranked UCC Piacenza where GSA Udine (3-3) beat UCC Piacenza (2-4) on the road 73-65. It was a good game for naturalized American power forward Cristopher Mortellaro (207-82, college: Drury) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Trevis Simpson (193-91, college: NC-Greensboro) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Toure Murry (196-89, college: Wichita St.) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for UCC Piacenza. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. GSA Udine moved-up to sixth place in A2. UCC Piacenza at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. GSA Udine will play against higher ranked Baltur Cento (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. UCC Piacenza will play against the league's leader Consultinvest BO (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
