We should mention about the upset which took place in Sesto San Giovanni, where 4th placed San Martino (3-2) lost to eleventh ranked Sesto SG (2-3) in a road game 54-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of San Martino. Sesto SG forced 19 San Martino turnovers and outrebounded them 34-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. American swingman Brooque Williams (175-89, college: California, PA, agency: Two Points) nailed 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and her fellow American import forward Sophie Brunner (185-95, college: Arizona St.) accounted for 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Sesto SG players scored in double figures. American swingman Tyaunna Marshall (175-92, college: Georgia Tech) came up with 12 points and 7 rebounds and international power forward Jasmine Keys (190-97) added 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for San Martino in the defeat. Sesto SG moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lucca and Vigarano. San Martino at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Sesto SG's next round opponent will be Lucca (#7) on the road. San Martino will play against Ragusa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
