Regular Season Round 7: Real Madrid - Andorra 105-107

Real Madrid (6-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by sixteenth ranked Andorra (3-4) 107-105. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Real Madrid. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 33-26. But Real Madrid won second period 32-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for French point guard Andrew Albicy (177-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 assists. Italian guard Michele Vitali (196-91) helped adding 17 points. At the losing side American-Azerbaijani Jaycee Carroll (188-83) responded with 32 points and international point guard Sergio Llull (190-87) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Five Andorra and four Real Madrid players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Andorra moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Defending champion Real Madrid still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with FC Barcelona and Baskonia. Andorra will meet at home league's leader Baskonia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Real Madrid's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena Baloncesto Fuenlabrada.
