Regular Season Round 5: Fiat TO - AX Armani 71-93
Date: November 4, 2018
Very expected game in Torino where 9th ranked Fiat TO (2-3) was crushed by leader Armani Milano (5-0) 93-71 on Sunday. Armani Milano looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Fiat TO's players. Lithuanian center Arturas Gudaitis (211-93) stepped up and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and international point guard Andrea Cinciarini (193-86) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Armani Milano's coach Simone Pianigiani felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Tyshawn Taylor (191-90, college: Kansas) responded with 16 points and the former international point guard Giuseppe Poeta (191-85) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Armani Milano have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Umana VE. Loser Fiat TO keeps the ninth place with three games lost. Armani Milano will face Grissin Bon RE (#13) in Reggio Emilia in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Fiat TO will play at home against Happy Casa BR (#6) and hope to win that game.
