Regular Season Round 4: United - Kings 77-70
Date: November 5, 2018
An interesting game for United (5-2) which hosted in Melbourne their biggest opponent Kings (4-2). Third ranked United managed to get a 7-point victory 77-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kings. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward DJ Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Mitchell McCarron (191-92, college: Metro St.) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international center Andrew Bogut (213-84, college: Utah) responded with 8 points and 15 rebounds and the former international power forward Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. United have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Kings at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. United will play against bottom-ranked Cairns Taipans (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Kings will play against Adelaide 36ers (#7) in Findon and hope to get back on the winning track.
