Regular Season Round 7: Tianjin - Wuhan 70-65

Tianjin's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Wuhan (0-7) 70-65 on Monday. Tianjin made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game. Tianjin outrebounded Wuhan 56-42 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ziqi Han (180-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws). American guard Ieshia Small (183-94, college: Maryland) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Biao-Biao Han answered with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and swingman Jun Yuan (180-88) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Wuhan. Tianjin (1-6) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place, which they share with Fujian and Liaoning. It was Wuhan's seventh loss in a row. Wuhan at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with seven games lost. Tianjin is looking forward to face higher ranked Dragons (#13) in Harbin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wuhan will play at home against Hebei (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
