Leader Defensor delivered the sixth victory on Monday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Sayago (0-7) 107-85 in Montevideo. Defensor looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for point guard Corin Henry (181-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 7 assists. Center Anthony-Laveal Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. Five Defensor players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Kamerom Williams (188-94, college: Ohio St., agency: Interperformances) responded with 32 points and forward Duke Crews (203-88, college: Bowie St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defensor have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Newly promoted Sayago still closes the standings with seven games lost.
