The biggest surprise of round 4 was guest Bendigo Spirit's (#3) road victory over Boomers (#4) 60-58 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boomers. The former international point guard Natalie Hurst (164-83) fired 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Nadeen Payne (188-93, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Stephanie Talbot (188-94) produced 21 points and 4 assists and the former international center Cayla George (192-89) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bendigo Spirit maintains third position with 4-2 record having just one point less than leader Perth. Boomers at the other side keep the fourth place with three games lost. Bendigo Spirit are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Sydney Uni Flames (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Boomers will play against Townsville Fire (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
