Very expected game when 8th ranked Umea (3-8) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Boras Basket (8-3) 113-82 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Boras Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Boras Basket forced 20 Umea turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Umea's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Marcus Tyus (185-94, college: Omaha) who scored 31 points. Forward William Gutenius (205-92) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Boras Basket's coach Henrik Svensson felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American point guard Omar Krayem (186-88, college: Cal.Baptist, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 24 points and American Josh Greene (185-92, college: CS Northridge) added 17 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boras Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Umea lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Boras Basket will meet KFUM Jamtland (#5) in the next round. Umea will play against KFUM Jamtland and hope to secure a win.
