Regular Season Round 5: Tsmoki-Minsk - Tsmoki II 95-51

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Tsmoki-Minsk (#2) and Tsmoki II (#4). Tsmoki-Minsk (5-0) crushed visiting Tsmoki II (3-3) by 44 points 95-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tsmoki II. Tsmoki-Minsk dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tsmoki II's 20 and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 24 Tsmoki II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Tsmoki II's players. The best player for the winners was forward Maxim Lutych (200-97) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Timofey Evsievich (197-95) chipped in 19 points. Five Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. Swingman Ilya Polonevich (193-99) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Vladislav Shvakel (178-0) added 10 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tsmoki-Minsk have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 5-0 record behind leader Grodno-93. Tsmoki II at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk are looking forward to face Prinemanye (#9) in Grodno in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tsmoki II will play at home against COR-Borisfen (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
