Regular Season Round 10: Abejas - Angeles 90-54

There was no surprise in Guanajuato where 7th ranked Angeles (2-8) were crushed by fifth ranked Abejas (4-6) 90-54 on Tuesday. Abejas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Angeles' players. American guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) fired 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Abejas players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-90, college: UNLV) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and center Carlos Zesati (205-94) added 8 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Abejas maintains fifth position with 4-6 record. Angeles lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the seventh place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
